Pinterest is becoming an increasingly important and relevant social media platform in the UK and, due to it being primarily a virtual ‘in board’ for the fixing of photographs, lends itself to businesses that provide a product or service of aesthetic appeal.
Demographic studies have also shown that the average Pinterest user is of a more affluent social group in terms of income, 47% of users have made a purchase directly as a result of seeing an item on Pinterest and the average time spent on Pinterest is 15.8 minutes. In addition, 45% of users are of the 35-54 age group which tends to be the decision-making demographic in a household or business.
